BAM Construction is currently recruiting two Building Services Managers in the Western Region for our BAM Building Services team. The role will be required to support projects predominantly in the Bristol and South Wales areas but also across the wider region as required. The role would report directly to the Building Services Construction Manager.

About the role
• Preconstruction responsibilities to include vetting of sub-contractors tender documents against ER's
• Responsibility for Health & Safety in line with BAM policies
• Project planning input in conjunction with Project Planner and Project Manager
• Undertake analysis and management of team resources
• Prepare, update and manage the sites ‘Project Management Plan'
• Monitor and review sub-contractors against pre-construction / installation programmes
• Provide written monthly report to Project Manager and Building Services Construction Manager
• Chair weekly or bi-weekly rolling progress meetings with principle sub-contractors (fully minuted)
• Manage / maintain records of all sub-contractors working drawings
• Manage requests for information
• Provision of utility quotations and site temps
• Maintain daily site diary
• Carry out Quality Control inspections for the entire services installation using BIM 360
• Ensure testing and commissioning is carried out and witnessed accordingly
• Ensure ‘as installed drawing' and O&M Manual are completed / issued
• Operate systems and procedures in line with BAM standard protocol
• Management of projects defects / aftercare
• Liaise with your fellow Building Services team and Construction Colleagues

Who are we looking for?
• Demonstrable experience within a similar role
• Minimum relevant qualification to HNC, HND level
• Good communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Works well within a team environment with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent IT skills and experience is using Microsoft Office
• Dynamic and ambitious
• Ability to plan own work, using own initiative, with a can-do and willing attitude.
