BAM Construct UK are recruiting an IT Support Analyst to be based out of the Leeds office, covering sites across the northern region. Travel will be required to other regional offices and sites.

About the role
Reporting to the IT Support Co-Ordinator based in our Manchester office, the post holder will provide support for users face to face, by email or telephone ensuring that calls for support are dealt with promptly and appropriately.

Customer service is key. This is in effect a 2nd line role, and normally the first point of IT Support to our users in the event of priority requests.
The successful candidate will not only be technically minded and experienced with Windows Server, Active Directory, Networking and  PC Hardware, but will have a 'can do' attitude with a keen eye for problem solving and customer service.

Duties include:
• To log support calls and document their outcome to facilitate the resolution of common queries.
• To resolve or escalate support requests to the appropriate member of the IT Department.
• To pro-actively provide information to users on the progress of outstanding support calls.
• To contribute ensuring that the Helpdesk systems and software are kept up to date and messages are passed on and feedback received promptly.
• To deploy PCs and associated peripherals including new installations and the redeployment of existing equipment.
• To install and configure operating systems and software to agreed standards under the direction of IT Services Manager.
• To maintain the existing PCs and peripherals to agreed standards under the direction of Support Co-ordinator, by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures.
• To assist in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of hardware and software.
• To report hardware faults to third party companies, return hardware to third party companies for repair if necessary, and ensure the faults are completed, in consultation with the Senior IT staff.
• To provide at all times a professional, courteous and rapid response to individual users.
• To undertake such projects of a level commensurate with the responsibility of the post, as designated by the Departmental Management.
• To undertake such other work as may be assigned which is consistent with the nature of the job and its level of responsibility.

Who are we looking for?
• Educated to degree level in Computer science, Mathematics or science subjects.
• Minimum experience: 3 years IT technical support or equivalent IT disciplines.
• This role requires a person to already have gained experience in a support environment, ideally in a face-to-face environment.

• Good understanding in structured networking and TCP/IP.
• Mobile device management (Tablets and Phones, iOS and Android OS)
