BAM FM is recruiting a part-time receptionist to join the FM team in Crawley. Reporting directly to the FM Leisure Manager, you will play a key role in the day to day management of the leisure business. In addition to this, we require an individual who is flexible to help cover absence within the current and helpdesk team.

About the role
• Deliver a smooth, efficient and professional experience to all guests.
• Ensure daily tasks are completed and assist with daily reports and statistics.
• Ensure correct bills and payments are made and oversee daily cash controls.
• Pro-actively maximise any sales opportunities including leisure activities to customers, both new and existing.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with the general public, ensuring that an appropriate ambience is maintained in the facility, making customers feel welcomed and valued.
• Ensure customer information such as leaflets, timetables, promotional fliers are maintained in sufficient quantities and a presentable condition.
• Acting as cover relief in other areas of the Leisure Centre's operation – where appropriately qualified to do so.
• Comply with general responsibilities as set out in the corporate Health and Safety policy.
• Carry out all duties whilst adhering to the company’s policy on customer care and the company’s policy on equal opportunities
• Complete documentation as necessary including timesheets, health and safety and accident reports.
• Attend to all customer queries and enquiries in a caring and helpful manner with commitment to dealing with the issue in a positive way.

Within the Helpdesk role, you will predominantly focus on:
• Log incoming calls from telephone, email and web enquiries.
• Understand the helpdesk call management and monitoring systems (CAFM) and work to agreed service levels.
• Understand when to escalate problems as appropriate.
• Organise materials & equipment.
• Deal with suppliers & sub-contractors.

• You will be able to demonstrable experience of working within a similar role
• Have good time management skills and able to commit and work to deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and be able to communicate at all levels with customers and internal departments alike
