BAM Construct is recruiting a Web Developer to join the team in Hemel Hempstead.

About the role

You will be collaborating with the business to:
•Design, develop, implement and maintain corporate websites and web-based applications.
•Provide guidance/support to the business and the internal IT team relating to the web and web-related systems.
•Applications/systems may be developed in-house or supplied by third parties.

Responsibilities will Include:  

• Working with users to design and develop applications, ensuring quality and best practice is maintained.
• Providing technical support to applications by working with other members of the IT team.
• Ensuring that other members of the IT team are aware of new system implementations to ensure that on-going support is maintained.
• Ensuring that technical and support documentation is available and kept up to date.
• Keeping up to date with the latest technology and tools that are available.
• Providing advice and guidance to users and IT staff on web-based tools that are available to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the business and the IT department 
• Producing relevant procedures and work instructions, both technical and non-technical.
• Liaising with staff to ensure that changing needs are communicated back to the manager.
• Being proactive in continuous changes taking place in the IT industry.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have:

•1 -2 years web development experience in a commercial environment.
•Ideally (but not essential) experience of; ASP (VBScript), ASP.NET MVC (C#), PHP, T-SQL, HTML5 / XHTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, SQL Server 2008/2012, MySQL 5.6, IIS 6/8.5.
•Excellent communication skills
