BAM Construct UK is recruiting a Web Developer to join the team in our UK Head Office in Hemel Hempstead.

About the role

Work with the business to design, develop, implement and maintain corporate websites and web-based, mobile friendly applications/systems.
Provide guidance/support to the business and the internal IT team relating to the web and web-related systems.
Applications/systems may be developed in-house or supplied by third parties.


Responsibilities Include: 

• Working with users to design and develop applications using BAM authorized technology and tools', ensuring quality and best practice is maintained.
• Providing technical support to applications working with other members of the IT team.
• Where applicable ensuring that other members of the IT team are aware of new system implementations to ensure that ongoing support is maintained.   
• Ensuring that technical and support documentation is available and kept up to date.
• Keeping up to date with the latest technology and tools that are available.
• Providing advice and guidance to users and IT staff on web-based tools that are available to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the business and the IT department 
• Producing and follow relevant procedures and work instructions, both technical and non-technical.
• Liaising with staff to ensure that changing needs are communicated back to the manager.
• Being proactive in continuous changes taking place in the IT industry.


Who are we looking for?

• A minimum of 2 year's development experience in a commercial environment.
• Experience in a commercial environment of the following programming languages / technologies: Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft PowerApps, Microsoft Flow, ASP (VBScript), ASP.NET Core MVC (C#), T-SQL, HTML5 / XHTML, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, REST APIs, SQL Server 2012/2014, IIS 6/8.5. Application Request Routing, Elasticsearch, ASP.NET Web API.
• Ability to work with staff outside of the IT department, guiding and supporting them through the development and implementation of WEB and WEB related systems.
• Methodical and accurate, while delivering to deadlines.
• A systematic approach to identifying faults and pursuing paths to resolution.
• The ability to foresee relevant issues and assist in proposing possible solutions.
• Excellent Verbal, Interpersonal and Written Communication skills
• Excellent Organizational and Time Management
• Ability to work on their own initiative. 
• Tact and diplomacy, customer focused.
• Ability to train others within set guidelines
• Educated to Degree level standard.
